Hi.

Welcome to my blog! Just sharing a piece of my world with you.

the engagement

the engagement

We wanted our engagement shoot to be fun, vibrant, elegant, and NY-ish. We automatically knew Elkin for the guy for the job and to be honest, he just never disappointments (in my experience!). We bought Mylo along for the day because who doesn’t love a boxer in their photos. Poor guy, by the end of the 4 hour shoot, he was so exhausted and thirsty- he knocked out the minuted we got home.

Now for those of you that are looking to book you engagement shoots, here’s some advice on what you need to think through:

  1. Outfit change: Cisco and I opted to just keep it simple and just do one. If we wanted to do two or more, we had to think through where to change since we were shooting in the streets in Brooklyn. Plan your day based on where you’re taking your photos and see if those options are available to you. Pack and bag and do your thing ;)

  2. Find a photographer that will make things fun and exciting. We spent about 4 hours taking photos all over DUMBO- and believe me you be tired and hungry by the end of it all! During our shoot, Elkin had a vision for a photo in front of this skull painted graffiti. So, we jumped on some fences, changed to some sneakers, and made it happen. It was so worth it! Now we laugh when we look back at these photos because we went on a mission to get it right.

  3. Don’t overthink it. These photos are meant to capture the love between you and your partner. Don’t stress the little details or the things you can’t control. Have fun, have love, and smile!
